Nasc (the Irish word for link) is the Migrant and Refugee Rights Centre (a non-governmental organisation) for linking migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, and ethnic minorities with their basic rights on the basis of the principles of human rights, social justice, and equality. Nasc provides free legal service, advice, and support to over 1,000 people annually, so as to facilitate social integration of ethnic minorities living in Ireland. Given this concern, Nasc has engaged in a number of projects to promote the equality and integration of the Roma community, including a Roma specific legal clinic, anti-discrimination training for GardaĆ, a photographic exhibition and advocacy training for Roma community leaders. Nasc has provided advocacy and support to Roma families experiencing issues relating to access social protection, employment, education and housing in Ireland.
